Fringe Festival 2010 @ Hua Hin

Patravadi Theatre's Fringe Festival 2010 @ Hua Hin will take place during 22 Januaru 2010 - 20 February 2010. The 10th in the series Fringe Festival 2010 @ Hua Hin will mark a new era of performing arts in Thailand. The festival will coincide with the inauguration of new art complex Vic Hua Hin.

The completed first phase of the Victoria Hua Hin development complex will include Vic Hua Hin (an energy-smart indoor theatre), Dome Dokmai (an outdoor dome covered with flowers), Art Camp (a handmade white cement live-in sculpture) and Promenade (an open performance space).

The five-week Fringe Festival @ Hua Hin will feature over 10 art performances. The festival will open on January 22 with a special inauguration performance by Patravadi Mejudhon and a family concert, "Carnival of the Animals", by world-famous conductor Bundit Ungrangsee. During the festival Patravadi Theatre will present musical Phra Lor, internationally known Thai dancer Pichet Khunchun will give a solo performance and Thai pop singer/percussionist Tik Shiro will duel with US violinist Kyle Dillingham. Israeli puppet theatre-artist Yael Rasooly will perform The Dream Hous and will also appear with Thai stage comedian Wanansak Sirilar for performance of Comic Delights. Taiyuan Puppet Theatre from Taiwan will perform A Sea of Puppets and Maya Dance Theatre, a traditional glove puppetry.

During the Fringe Festival @ Hua Hin there will be workshops, short films, village disco "ram wong", ballroom dancing, a food market and other free outdoor activities.
